Sales Director, North America

We are seeking a Sales Director, North America, who will continue to run the Sales agenda and manage a team of four highly skilled personnel from the whole of North America with lots of opportunities to increase our project sales with natural ventilation solutions with an already exciting opportunity pipeline. The role has become vacant due to the current Sales Director relocating to Europe.

The role implies remote and local leadership from time to time, depending on the location of the candidate. Travel is expected, domestically, between 20-30 days, to some extent to and from the East or West Coast. And International travel to HQ, other WindowMaster locations and trade shows. 5-10 days.

It is a challenging and exciting responsibility creating and driving an entrepreneurial culture in North Amecia with office and logistic hub in North Wales PA and being a part of all entities in WindowMaster.

WindowMasters North American history is establishment of sales office in Palo Alto CA in 2016 and the acquisition of national distributor Clearline Inc in North Wales PA in 2019. Thereby creating the market leader in its niche industry and the only manufacturer with US presence. The company has a strong commitment to develop the North American market support with investments and knowledge form the HQ with the ambition to manufacture in the US in the near future.

Key responsibilities:

  • Overall responsible for developing the North American market and the sales pipeline for WindowMaster Clearline Inc.
  • People management is also a part of the job description with four employees in direct report, and potentially more in the future, if the financials can justify it
  • Define and develop sales strategy for the market in addition to ensuring targets on order intake, turnover and contribution margin are met
  • Develop new OEM customers in the segment of façade builders and window manufacturers
  • Influence key specifiers in the project business such as architects and consulting engineers, and land project contracts with contractors
  • Responsible for establishing a good and close relationship with business partners
  • Raise awareness of the natural ventilation in the market and positively impact building codes to favor WindowMaster products through structured lobby activities
  • Working closely with the transfer of the process to Operations executing projects with the logistic team in North Wales PA and other support offices in WindowMaster.
  • Reporting directly to and sparring with the CEO of WindowMaster

Your skills:

  • Either an engineering background with notable commercial experience from previous positions, or a commercial background with experience from selling technical products to the faced industry
  • It is expected that the candidate at least has a bachelor’s degree, and preferably an MBA
  • Entrepreneurial experience from building up a sales office or business unit, preferably from the building industry
  • Significant experience from sales management positions in BtB settings
  • Experience from approaching and presenting to advisors and specialists, like for example architects and consulting engineers
  • Knowledge of how lobby-activities work and comfortable arguing for natural ventilation solutions in large diverse interest groups
  • IT- savvy and experienced in using the Microsoft Office, and ERP & CRM systems
  • Experience from collaborating with a European organization would be advantageous, but it is not a requirement. (Everyday work will consist of mutual adjustments to European time)
  • The candidate must have an entrepreneurial mindset and relentless drive
  • Since it will take some time to build up the market, the candidate needs persistence and the ability not to give up
  • Determination and being able to close contracts is a requirement
  • It is expected that the Sales Director is extroverted and out-going
  • The candidate should have a communicative and motivating leadership style and being able to create a winning team spirit.
